Hello!!
We are in Professor Tim McMillian's AFAM 190, entitled Black Chapel Hill. Our research project for the semester is to research and investigate the present-day black businesses in the city of Chapel Hill, NC. As a group, we also decided to incorporate the failures of black nightclubs in the area. The purpose of our research is to illustrate how black businesses have changed, the issues effecting them, and the causes of the possibly demising issues.
We have interviewed the owners of the following businesses:
1. Mama Dips
2. The Campus Barber
3. Delaine's Hair Salon
4. Stephanie's Hair Braiding
5. Eric's Barber Shop
For the nightclubs, we have gathered police reports from the Chapel Hill Police Department for:

2. White Bar/Visions
3. Mansion 462
4. Aladdin's
5. Avalon
